Saturday afternoon after a 4.5 mile hike at Eno River, I was starved. Common Market would fill the bill from googling around. I had the mother clucker, my friend the clash? Also a side of carrot ginger soup which was outstanding. Great atmosphere. Extremely warm and congenial. Could have used more cluck in my sandwich-croissant and lettuce overwhelmed what cluck there was. I will return.

"Sandwiches and more just off Ninth Street" Came here on a Friday at noon-- the setting was casual rustic. Really liked the decor-- felt like going into a cabin or something. The layout is a little counterintuitive, but the staff are helpful with guiding-- You walk to the back to see the daily menu, then up to the front to order and pay. They also have an app to facilitate the process. Then, your name will be called from a window in the back, and that's where you get your food. My friend and I both got the Friday special: reuben sandwiches-- he got corned beef and I got turkey. I also grabbed some veggie chips, a cookie, and a bottle of interesting carbonated grapefruit juice. Prices for each were reasonable. The sandwiches were ready in maybe 8-10 minutes. There isn't a ton of seating, so this is probably a better place to get to-go orders, but we snagged a few seats facing on stools by a counter looking out the window, which was nice for a sunny day. The reuben was EXCELLENT -- this was not an Arby's sandwich (not that Arby's is terrible or anything). The rye bread was great (it was wrapped tightly in foil, so it got a little wet, but didn't break apart), and the sauerkraut was some of the best I've ever had. And of course the dressing and meat were on point. Overall, for a sandwich place, I'd say this was excellent. I'd happily come back. Fast, easy, good service, and excellent quality.

We really enjoyed this place. The food was good, and the people working there were helpful and attentive. Also appreciated that it is wheelchair accessible and extra parking

Stopped in for a beer on a weekday afternoon. Hard to determine where to order from. Ended up downstairs but no bartender in sight so back up again to find someone. The atmosphere is cool, lots of space. I also wanted to take some chicken salad to go, but the case was empty. Not the best visit but would give it a shot again.

This place always has some very unique sandwiches. This one had turkey, bean sprouts, avocado, tomato and homemade honey mustard and it was delicious! I grabbed some voodoo chips and a cherry soda and sat outside in the perfect weather. The staff there is always so amazing and friendly!

First time here after so many reviews saying how great this place was! Food: came right before breakfast was about to be over on a Sunday. Ordered the Alabama grinder sandwich. It was great with different flavors I'm used to. Sauce was amazing! Wish bread was less soggy. Chicken was tender seems like it was made with all dark meat. Large sandwich. Had the mimos which was a small cup but mostly Prosecco and a splash of orange juice (depends on whose serving though) Price: prices are fair for serving sizes and food quality. Service: bar and food counter service were welcoming and great with recommendations. They were patient with us and our questions. Bar let us sample beer options. Ambiance: I thought this place would have been bigger and a little more clean cut or modern as far as decor. It's more casual than expected. A lot smaller as well. Not as much seating as expected or vendor options. I wish the food menu was in more places it was a bit crowded where the menu is posted. And the order line is on the other side of locale. Overall I would come back because food was great and want to try other items.

I am a huge fan of the common market in any city! I'm happy to have found one in Durham. Thankfully they have a parking lot and plenty of room to sit inside between two floors. They are also open every day, all day. You can't beat that. The atmosphere is really cool and unique inside too. So far since discovering it here two days ago I've had a turkey croissant sandwich with pepper jack, avocado smash, red onions, and garlic mayo, and I've also had the breakfast sandwich of the month which was eggs, cheddar, arugula, red onion, and your choice of sausage (I chose turkey) on a croissant. I could eat the breakfast sandwich every day, it was perfect. They have a long preset list of sandwiches/wraps or you can build your own, which I always do. Also note that breakfast items stop at 11. You can order ahead or you can order in store. I found that I prefer ordering online to avoid a wait. They have options for everybody here- and very many vegan meat options. The prices are fair and the food is good. They have a bunch of snacks, drinks, candy, and a freezer full of items. I also bought a curry carrot ginger soup which was made from a coconut broth. Yum.

Cool spot with really yummy food! You grab your drink and snack and head to the checkout counter to order. They call your name when your food is ready. They have some fun and funky decor inside. There's a decent amount of seating, however, it looks like it's a prime spot for people to post up and work. So at 11:45am on a Wednesday we actually snagged one of the last tables. My food was really good and a huge potion. I was able to take a lot home for leftovers. They have a good sized parking lot which was perfect. It's kind of in an area where it's usually a lot of street parking - so this makes it easy to access.

Very hipster, perfect for the area. Great rotation of drafts and cans, as well as a good selection of wines. As you enter, find the menu on the back wall, grab your chips and make your way to the counter to order. Today, a Saturday early afternoon, the place was pretty busy. Decently sized parking lot and street parking available. The staff was all friendly, so I was less disgusted with the iPad flip tipping strategy... if that's a trigger for you, prepare yourself... the sandwiches were worth it! Environment, as mentioned was pretty hipster, looks like they have live music or DJs late night, being close to Duke, I can imagine it could be a pretty fun spot! Good WiFi.
